Girgarre Moosic Muster – 11th – 13th January 2013.
The Girgarre Moosic Muster is a community run festival held in January each year in the small farming community of Girgarre, west of Shepparton in Victoria.
Have you ever aspired to play a musical instrument but have never been given the opportunity to try? This is your chance.
One of the many activities at the Girgarre Moosic Muster provides an opportunity for people who have never played an instrument before and would love to try, a chance to have-a-go.
Been playing for a while and want some additional inspiration? The advanced workshops provide an opportunity for those who can already play and want to improve their skills. There will be a group of talented teachers to run the workshops. If you are able to assist in the running of the workshops, your help would be greatly appreciated.
Workshops are offered in Basic and Advanced; Guitar, Mandolin, Banjo, Fiddle, Ukulele, Double Bass, Flute, Tin Whistle. There is also a Clogging Workshop which was very popular last year.
This is your opportunity to hop in and have-a-go. Come and join us for a great weekend of activities, music amid an amazing sense of community.
After the success of the 2012 Muster, we have decided to keep the format the same and expand the workshops. There re also additional jamming facilities available in the community reserve.
